Testimonials
We met Hemal & Team UrbanSoil earlier for our School Garden Project(Millennium National School, Karvenagar). They had captivated the interests of young adults in the city who like farms & lifestyle beyond the city. We are not really aware of what kind of food we eat today. Once you start experimenting with your own food, you know what's going in when somebody gives you food. Doing such a simple thing like participating in growing your own food in this way, touches upon all aspect of your life.
We aim to create a school environment which is sustainable in order to bring children closer to nature. We want out children to connect with nature where we have partnered with Team UrbanSoil to create a Sustainable, Biodiverse campus that follows recycling, reusing & reducing waste in each aspect of campus activities.
My journey with urban soil began in 2019, when I joined for one of the 10-day workshops at BNCA. The first milestone was seeing the Kadipatta plant flourish with the help of caterpillar. This taught me patience and I experienced pure joy of nature in my balcony. Today I am growing fruit trees like Sitafal, mulberry muskmelon in my terrace. In all of this, Hemalsir has been very kind in answering all of the queries. Being a teacher for some time and being a teacher for lifelong is something to learn from him. Observe. learn. grow. be patient. With UrbanSoil
I attended the Sustainable Gardening workshop conducted by Team UrbanSoil and it was an absolute eye opener for me. Not only did I learn a lot about terrace gardening but also about other lifestyle modifications for a sustainable lifestyle. And I follow all the practices taught by him diligently. Thanks Hemal!!!
